The balloonist prayer was a blessing originally said before a flight. It's origins are believe to be Italian. A more recent version has evolved with slight modifications so it can be said after a flight has finished. Both versions are written below.
The original version said before a flight:
May the winds welcome you with softness
May the sun bless you with it’s warm rays
May you fly so high and so well
That God will join you in laughter
And set you gently back again
Into the loving arms of Mother Earth
The new version said after a flight:
The winds have welcome you with softness
The sun has blessed you with it’s warm rays
You have flown so high and so well
That God has joined you in laughter
And set you gently back again
Into the loving arms of Mother Earth
